A wonderful wedding between Carrie and Hans, with a mixture of Chinese and Swedish elements. The wedding ceremony was Swedish but the rest of the day belonged to China
We started with a form of “game” where Hans (together with his marshals) had to perform different tasks. These various elements were assembled by the bridesmaids and the sentence was that his would show that he was ready to marry Carrie.
Then followed a tea ceremony with parents and relatives. At the same time it was handed over the gifts to the bride and groom.
When this ceremony was ready so we went to Alemäns Boras for wedding and portrait photography. I took considerably more group photos here than I have ever taken All guests would be in the picture with the bride and groom. Probably think both Carrie and Hans had some light stiff jaws afterward
The party that came afterwards, with a 10-course dinner, had the speeches in both Cantonese and Swedish. There were mixed fresh between languages (had some difficulties to keep up sometimes, but usually understood the spirit of the speech). Hans also had “warned” me before that the food was Chinese on the Chinese way, not “Swedish-Chinese” food. Some dishes I had been able to do without (like Sea Cucumber) while others tasted really good.
After all the speeches and the food it was time for the couple to go around to all the tables and cheering and receiving gifts and small “Hong Bao”, that is red envelopes with money in. Quite fun to see how Hans and Carrie went around with his entourage went around among the tables and toasted with cognac (and iced tea).
Yes, this wedding was really nothing I have experienced before. So a really big thank Carrie and Hans that I got to be in your wedding!
